Fun Day 2010
The Bishop Sutton Village Fun Day 2010 is set for Saturday 19th June from 2pm. Located on the Cricket Pitch, behind the village Hall, we’re hoping to build on the runaway success of last year’s fun day with something extraordinarily special … our very own hot air balloon fiesta! Yes, weather-‐permitting, no fewer than six hot air balloons will inflate and take off from the field between 6 and 8 o’clock in what we hope will be an unforgettable display.
There’ll be a licensed bar, Pimms tent, hog roast, ice-‐creams, candy floss, teas, cakes and other refreshments together with an array of colourful stalls and games. We’ll clap, sing and dance along to the Twerzels during the afternoon – arguably the world’s greatest Wurzels tribute band. TV’s Dr. Phil Hammond has once again generously taken time out to man the P.A. system for the afternoon (no doubt to flirt outrageously with members of the Women’s Institute). We have a superb birds of prey display, crazy golf course and both sets of ‘boys in blue’ will be there with a fire engine and police car for the kids to sit in. If you feel the need for speed, there’ll be an enormous inflatable slide for you to hurtle down. The martial arts Ironman competition will sort the men from the boys, as will the mass tug of war – although we’re hoping this’ll yield fewer casualties this year!

Fun Day 2009
The 2009 Fun Day was the first run by the Bishop Sutton Society. The five members involved put on quite a show, and full details of the enjoyable day had by all can be found here
